Halloween: Makeup, Nails, and More

I love Halloween, it  happens to be one of my favorite holidays, and not just because of the candy. I love the makeup and seeing all the costumes people can come up with. Halloween used to be so great, with people decorating their yards with  miniature graveyards, cobwebs, spooky ghosts, and zombies rising out of the ground.
Now it seems more and more people do not even bother. They simply throw up some orange or purple string lights and put a couple pumpkins out front. Today you are lucky to see a carved pumpkin.

The next best thing to a creepy yard are the creepy ghouls and goblins you see walking the street on Halloween. Below are some videos that will hopefully inspire you to be the best ghoul you can be, or fairy princess.

I am seem to be drawn to special effects make up videos, as well as nail art videos. Over the past months quite a few have caught my eye and I thought I would share them with you for the Halloween season.

Search Engines and What They Are For

This blog post will be mainly me talking about my main complaint that I have with others on the internet. The fact that so many people seem clueless as to how to use the internet.

Wikipedia says that "The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail."

Ugh, so why do people not use it as its intended?

I see people everyday who post questions on Facebook, or other such sites. Seriously, you are asking a question on a social site, while on the internet. It takes all I have to not simply post FLUID, which is an acronym for F**king Look It Up I Did.

I mean, usually for someone to answer your question, they (unless of course they know exactly what you are asking about) will have to look up your answer on guess what? The INTERNET, using guess what? A SEARCH ENGINE.
Now, I wonder why they are called search engines? Hmm, could it be because you use it to search for answers to your questions or information? Could it possibly be because they are useful when searching for things you want to find?  Let's see what a search engine really is. I will now Google (guess what Google is? A search engine, imagine that) the term search engine.

Spock's Brain Night: A Family Tradition

Okay, we have a tradition in our family that each year, on the night before Thanksgiving, we all get together at my mother's house. We have been having this get-together now for over 20 years.  Now, this tradition is not simply a get-together, it has turned into an event for our family. Here is how it all started.

My mother is a huge Star Trek fan. Back in the late 80's-early 90's, she was attempting to get every episode of Star Trek (the original series) on tape. She had managed to get a list of all the episodes and she had diligently recorded each one as it aired on TV as a rerun.

The night before Thanksgiving, she had fixed a simple dinner. A few family members where there and we all sat down at 7:00 pm to eat dinner. At this time, she also started recording "Spock's Brain," the last Star Trek episode she needed to complete her collection.

What Are Your Fears?

I have quite a few fears. Some of them have even gone to the stage where they are almost pathological, such as my fear of falling, being a passenger in a car, and balloons. While some people might find other people's fears funny, to the person who has the fear, it's quite real and not the least bit funny.

Now You See It, Now You Don't

I have been reading the comments on a page for a fallen officer on Facebook. What I have seen so far disgusts me. I made a simple comment on a post, it is as follows. (the post was about the death penalty and whether or not Canada should bring it back)
As you can see it took less than ten minutes for my comment to be removed.
and now its gone.
What was so wrong about my comment? Why is this even being discussed on a supposed memorial page. I do not know who runs this page and I do not care, but if you are going to bring up a topic, you should let people discuss it without censorship. Unless of course there is name calling, rude, or racist comments, which I do not think mine was. Other comments are also being deleted, some rude, some merely telling the admin their thoughts, which apparently did not sit well with the admin. They are as follows.
